HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS — A Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office investigation into the theft of industrial equipment from a local company led deputies to a scrap yard in Harris County where they recovered more than 160,000 pounds of stolen equipment valued at over $800,000 — and further investigation revealed the total amount stolen from the company could approach $2 million.
Corporal Ramirez tracked the stolen equipment to the scrap yard. While recovering the initial property, additional equipment belonging to the same company was discovered and recovered on scene.
No arrests or charges have been announced. The investigation remains ongoing.
