Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the American Truck Drivers website, the American Truck Drivers mobile application, user accounts, News, Media, Community, comments, media-submission features, advertising features, and related services operated by American Truck Drivers Inc. (“American Truck Drivers,” “ATD,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the services.

1. Our Services

American Truck Drivers provides trucking news, analysis, video, community features, user accounts, comments, media features, notifications, and tools that may allow users to submit photos, videos, tips, and other material for review or publication.

Our services may include:

  • The Atruckdrivers.com website.
  • The American Truck Drivers mobile application.
  • News and analysis.
  • YouTube and other video content.
  • American Truck Drivers-hosted App Video, App Photo, and App Gallery content.
  • User comments and replies.
  • Community posts and interactions.
  • User profiles and avatars.
  • Push notifications.
  • User-submitted photos and videos.
  • Advertising and sponsored content.
  • Other related features that we introduce from time to time.

News and informational material provided through our services is for general informational purposes.

It is not legal, regulatory, medical, financial, employment, dispatch, professional safety, or other professional advice.

Drivers, carriers, companies, and other users remain responsible for complying with applicable laws, regulations, company rules, road conditions, official instructions, and safety requirements.

2. Accounts and Guest Access

Some features may be available without an account.

Other features may require an American Truck Drivers account.

When creating or using an account, you agree to:

  • Provide reasonably accurate information.
  • Maintain the security of your account.
  • Keep account information reasonably current.
  • Not knowingly allow unauthorized use of your account.
  • Notify us if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent the activity results from circumstances for which you cannot lawfully be held responsible.

American Truck Drivers may support authentication through:

  • Email.
  • American Truck Drivers username.
  • Google Sign-In.
  • Facebook / Meta Login when enabled.
  • Apple Sign In when enabled.
  • Other authentication services that may be supported in the future.

Use of a third-party authentication service is also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.

3. Usernames and Profiles

Users may be permitted to create or edit a public American Truck Drivers username, display name, profile image, and other profile information.

You may not use profile information to:

  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Mislead other users about your identity.
  • Violate another person’s rights.
  • Harass or threaten others.
  • Promote unlawful activity.
  • Misrepresent an affiliation or endorsement.
  • Circumvent a suspension or restriction.

We may restrict, remove, or require modification of a username, profile image, display name, or other profile information where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, protect intellectual-property rights, or maintain the integrity of the service.

4. User Content

“User Content” includes material that you submit, upload, post, transmit, or otherwise provide through our services.

User Content may include:

  • Comments.
  • Replies.
  • Community posts.
  • Profile images.
  • Photos.
  • Videos.
  • Captions.
  • Descriptions.
  • News tips.
  • Messages.
  • Other submitted material.

You retain ownership of User Content that you own.

For ordinary User Content such as comments, Community posts, and profile material, you grant American Truck Drivers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, process, distribute, and otherwise use the content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, moderate, protect, and improve the service.

This general license does not replace any separate authorization applicable to editorial media submissions.

5. Media Submissions and Licensing

American Truck Drivers may allow users to submit photos, videos, and related materials for possible editorial publication.

A media submission may require acceptance of a separate:

  • Content Ownership and License Authorization.
  • Release.
  • Electronic authorization.
  • Licensing agreement.
  • Other submission-specific terms.

The authorization presented during the submission process may grant American Truck Drivers rights that are different from the general User Content license in these Terms.

If a specific submission authorization conflicts with these Terms concerning the submitted media, the specific submission authorization controls to the extent of that conflict.

By submitting media, you represent that:

  • You have the right to submit the material.
  • Your submission does not knowingly violate another person’s rights.
  • Any ownership or permission information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You have authority to accept any applicable submission authorization.

Submission does not guarantee publication.

American Truck Drivers may approve, reject, edit, decline to publish, remove, make private, or otherwise handle submitted material according to our editorial judgment, applicable authorization, policies, and law.

6. Public Credit for Submitted Content

When authorized user-submitted material is published, American Truck Drivers may provide public credit associated with the submission.

Where applicable, public credit may appear in a form such as:

Submitted by @username

Credit does not necessarily indicate employment, endorsement, partnership, or other affiliation between the contributor and American Truck Drivers.

We may modify or remove credit where reasonably necessary for privacy, safety, editorial, legal, or technical reasons.

7. Comments, Community, and User Interactions

American Truck Drivers may allow users to:

  • Comment.
  • Reply.
  • Like or dislike content.
  • Report content.
  • Publish Community posts.
  • Interact with other users.
  • Delete certain content they created.

Public comments, replies, Community posts, usernames, avatars, and reactions may be visible to other users.

You are responsible for the content you choose to publish.

We may moderate, limit, remove, hide, or disable User Content or interactions where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or maintain the service.

Some third-party content, including certain YouTube comments, may be displayed as read-only source content and may remain subject to the third-party platform’s own systems and policies.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use our services to:

  • Violate applicable law.
  • Violate another person’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights.
  • Submit media you do not have the right to submit.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, or defraud another person.
  • Impersonate another person or organization.
  • Publish unlawful private information.
  • Upload non-consensual intimate material.
  • Distribute malware or malicious code.
  • Attempt credential theft.
  • Interfere with authentication or account security.
  • Circumvent moderation or access controls.
  • Abuse APIs or technical systems.
  • Generate harmful automated traffic.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to servers, accounts, networks, or systems.
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the website or app.
  • Manipulate advertising impressions, clicks, engagement, views, or other measurements.
  • Use bots or automated methods intended to create fraudulent activity.

We may investigate suspected abuse and take reasonable action, including restricting or terminating access.

9. Editorial Decisions, Accuracy, and Corrections

American Truck Drivers maintains editorial control over news and editorial material.

Submission of material does not guarantee publication.

We aim to provide timely and accurate information, but news develops quickly and information may change after publication.

We may:

  • Correct information.
  • Update developing stories.
  • Add context.
  • Clarify prior reporting.
  • Replace media.
  • Remove content.
  • Add correction or update notices.

Our approach to sourcing, corrections, user-submitted media, sponsored content, and editorial independence is further described in our Editorial Policy.

Advertising or sponsorship does not give an advertiser control over our independent editorial decisions.

10. Advertising and Sponsored Content

American Truck Drivers may display advertising, sponsored content, promotional messages, and sponsored links through the website and mobile application.

Advertising may include:

  • Direct advertisements sold or managed by American Truck Drivers (“ATD / Sponsor Ads”).
  • Google AdMob advertisements.
  • Other third-party advertising platforms that we may enable in the future.
  • Sponsored images.
  • Sponsored videos.
  • Sponsored links.
  • Sponsored promotional content.

Advertising may appear within areas such as:

  • Home.
  • News feeds.
  • Media feeds.
  • News articles.
  • American Truck Drivers-hosted video experiences.
  • Other eligible areas of the service.

ATD / Sponsor Ads

American Truck Drivers may enter into direct advertising or sponsorship relationships with companies, organizations, or other advertisers.

Direct advertisements may contain:

  • Sponsor names.
  • Logos.
  • Images.
  • Videos.
  • Promotional text.
  • Calls to action.
  • Links to external websites or services.

Paid advertising or sponsored material will be identified as advertising or sponsored content where reasonably appropriate.

The presence of an advertisement does not necessarily mean that American Truck Drivers endorses the advertiser, product, service, claim, offer, or business practice.

Advertisers are responsible for advertising material they provide and for complying with applicable advertising laws and requirements.

Google AdMob and Other Advertising Providers

The American Truck Drivers mobile application may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob or other third-party advertising technology providers.

Third-party advertising providers may determine which advertisements are available according to their own:

  • Systems.
  • Advertiser demand.
  • Eligibility rules.
  • Geographic availability.
  • Privacy settings.
  • Advertising policies.
  • Technical requirements.

American Truck Drivers does not guarantee that a third-party advertisement will be available for every advertising position.

Advertising Rotation

American Truck Drivers may combine advertising from multiple sources within the same eligible advertising inventory.

For example, an advertising position may be filled by:

  • An ATD / Sponsor Ad.
  • A Google AdMob advertisement.
  • Another advertising provider that may be supported in the future.

Advertising may be selected or rotated according to factors that may include:

  • Campaign availability.
  • Placement.
  • Scheduling.
  • Campaign priority.
  • Rotation weight.
  • Technical availability.
  • Advertising-provider availability.
  • User-experience considerations.

A higher campaign priority or rotation weight may increase how frequently an eligible advertisement is selected, but does not guarantee any specific number of impressions unless separately agreed in writing.

Advertising Frequency

American Truck Drivers may determine how frequently advertising positions appear within feeds or other content areas.

Advertising frequency may be changed from time to time to balance commercial needs with user experience.

A position may disappear entirely when no eligible advertisement is available.

We do not guarantee that every potential advertising position will display an advertisement.

Video Advertising

American Truck Drivers-hosted App Videos may contain sponsored advertising before, during, or after video playback.

These placements may include:

  • Pre-roll.
  • Mid-roll.
  • Post-roll.

The application may limit advertising frequency during an individual video viewing session.

For example, the application may select only one eligible sponsor advertisement for a particular video viewing session even when multiple video-ad placements are technically available.

The selected position may vary between video sessions.

Advertisements shown by third-party platforms such as YouTube are independently controlled by those platforms and are not necessarily part of American Truck Drivers’ advertising system.

Advertising Links

Selecting an advertisement may open:

  • An advertiser website.
  • A registration page.
  • An application.
  • A store listing.
  • A third-party service.
  • Another destination controlled by the advertiser.

American Truck Drivers does not control external advertiser websites or services.

Any purchase, registration, contract, payment, warranty, communication, or transaction between you and an advertiser is between you and that advertiser unless we expressly state otherwise.

Review the advertiser’s own terms and privacy policy before completing a transaction.

Advertising Measurement

American Truck Drivers may measure advertising activity including:

  • Impressions.
  • Clicks.
  • Placement.
  • Campaign identifiers.
  • Aggregate campaign performance.

We may use advertising measurements to:

  • Operate campaigns.
  • Manage advertiser relationships.
  • Measure performance.
  • Improve advertising systems.
  • Prevent fraud or invalid activity.
  • Provide aggregate reporting.
  • Support our business operations.

Third-party advertising providers may separately measure advertising activity according to their own systems and policies.

Invalid Advertising Activity

You may not intentionally generate or manipulate advertising activity.

Prohibited behavior includes:

  • Repeated artificial clicking.
  • Clicking advertisements solely to increase revenue or statistics.
  • Bots.
  • Scripts.
  • Automated impressions.
  • Automated clicks.
  • Coordinated fraudulent engagement.
  • Encouraging others to generate invalid advertising interactions.

We may investigate suspected invalid activity and may restrict accounts or access where reasonably necessary.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

Our services may integrate with or link to third-party services such as:

  • Google.
  • Firebase.
  • Google AdMob.
  • YouTube.
  • Facebook / Meta.
  • Instagram.
  • X.
  • TikTok.
  • Vimeo.
  • Apple.
  • App stores.
  • Advertisers.
  • Sponsors.
  • Other websites or services.

We do not control independent third-party services.

Your use of a third-party service may be governed by that third party’s own terms, policies, and privacy practices.

Embedded or linked content does not necessarily constitute endorsement by American Truck Drivers.

12. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content and third-party material, the American Truck Drivers website, mobile application, trademarks, logos, designs, original articles, graphics, software, interfaces, and other materials are owned by or licensed to American Truck Drivers Inc. and may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, modify, commercially exploit, or otherwise use protected American Truck Drivers material beyond what is permitted by law or expressly authorized by us.

The American Truck Drivers name and official branding must not be used in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or authorization.

Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

13. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for:

  • Security.
  • Suspected fraud.
  • Abuse.
  • Repeated or serious violations of these Terms.
  • Unauthorized access.
  • Advertising manipulation.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Protection of users.
  • Protection of our systems.

Where appropriate, accounts that materially or repeatedly violate these Terms may be permanently terminated.

Termination does not automatically invalidate rights, licenses, obligations, or records that lawfully survive termination.

14. Account Deletion

Users may request permanent deletion of their American Truck Drivers account and associated personal information.

Where available, deletion may be initiated through the mobile application.

Users may also request deletion through our public Account Deletion page.

Deleting an American Truck Drivers account does not automatically delete:

  • A Google account.
  • A Facebook / Meta account.
  • An Apple account.
  • Another third-party account.

Some limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary or permitted for:

  • Security.
  • Fraud prevention.
  • Legal compliance.
  • Financial records.
  • Advertising accounting.
  • Dispute resolution.
  • Enforcement of agreements.
  • Documentation of licenses or permissions.
  • Exercise or defense of legal rights.

Media submitted under a valid license or authorization may be subject to separate retention rules described in the applicable submission authorization, our Privacy Policy, and our Account Deletion page.

15. Privacy

Our collection, use, sharing, storage, advertising-related processing, retention, and deletion of information is described in our Privacy Policy.

By using the services, you acknowledge that information may be processed as described in that policy.

Where legally required, additional consent or privacy controls may be provided.

16. Service Availability and Changes

We may:

  • Add features.
  • Change features.
  • Update features.
  • Remove features.
  • Suspend features.
  • Modify technical requirements.
  • Release security updates.
  • Modify advertising systems.
  • Change supported third-party integrations.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Temporary outages, network conditions, provider failures, maintenance, device limitations, software bugs, and other circumstances may affect availability.

Certain features may require a current version of the mobile app.

17. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • All information will always be complete or current.
  • Every feature will always be available.
  • The service will always be uninterrupted.
  • Every advertisement or offer will remain available.
  • Third-party content will remain accessible.
  • Every device or network will perform identically.

Nothing provided through American Truck Drivers replaces official instructions from:

  • Law-enforcement agencies.
  • Transportation agencies.
  • Regulators.
  • Emergency personnel.
  • Employers.
  • Dispatchers.
  • Vehicle or equipment manufacturers.
  • Other responsible authorities.

Use appropriate judgment and comply with applicable law, especially while operating a vehicle.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, American Truck Drivers Inc. and its officers, employees, contractors, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the services.

This may include losses associated with:

  • Service interruption.
  • Data loss.
  • Reliance on content.
  • Third-party services.
  • Advertisements.
  • External links.
  • Transactions with advertisers.
  • User Content.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability.

Where such laws apply, these provisions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

  • User Content you submit.
  • Media you submit without necessary rights or permissions.
  • Your material violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of another person’s rights.
  • Fraudulent or abusive use of our services.

This provision does not require you to indemnify American Truck Drivers for conduct where indemnification cannot lawfully be required.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our services, advertising systems, mobile application, third-party integrations, business operations, or legal obligations change.

When we update these Terms, we will post the revised version and change the Effective Date.

Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires separate notice or affirmative consent, we will provide it.
