DAYTON, OHIO — The Dayton Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit conducted a targeted commercial vehicle enforcement effort this week, citing four truck drivers for dangerous violations including three who were traveling more than 15 mph over the speed limit and one who ran a red light.

For commercial drivers, traveling 15 mph or more over the posted speed limit is classified as a serious traffic violation that can result in CDL disqualification for repeat offenses.

“Slow down, obey traffic signals, and help keep our roadways safe,” Dayton Police said.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
