62-Year-Old Mississippi Truck Driver Killed After 18-Wheeler Crashes Into Storage Facility; Truck Was Hauling Aluminum, Cause Under Investigation

WEST POINT, MISSISSIPPI — A 62-year-old truck driver was killed Wednesday morning after his 18-wheeler crashed into a storage facility on Highway 45 Alternate near West Point.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Clay Flake identified the victim as Donald McIntyre, 62, of Marietta. The crash happened at approximately 9 a.m. at S&W Mini Storage. The truck appeared to belong to Bud Coley Trucking out of Tupelo and was carrying cases of aluminum.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
