LARAMIE COUNTY, WYOMING — Laramie County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted another round of their “Truck Around And Find Out” commercial vehicle enforcement operation on July 28 and 29, making 10 immigration arrests and one felony DUI arrest across 112 traffic stops throughout the county.
Sheriff Brian Kozak said four deputies carried out the two-day detail, resulting in 40 citations in addition to the arrests. The felony aggravated DUI arrest involved a driver under the influence of marijuana. Deputies also recovered marijuana and synthetic urine from that vehicle during the stop.
“As we know, this is a big problem in our county. It’s a big safety risk on our highways and county roads, and so we’re taking action here in Laramie County,” Kozak said.
LCSO has conducted several TAFO details over the past several months in partnership with ICE. In October 2025, more than two dozen LCSO deputies were sworn in by ICE and authorized to enforce immigration law under Title 8, Section 287(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
