SOUTH MIDDLETON TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA — A Texas man has been charged with homicide by motor vehicle after a 36-year-old Newville woman died in a fiery seven-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Interstate 81 North in Cumberland County on Friday, October 23.

Pennsylvania State Police said David Rodis Lynn III, of Round Rock, Texas, was charged after the crash near mile marker 47 around 7:14 a.m. The Cumberland County Coroner said Jessica Moore, 36, of Newville, died after her vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer. State Police said two others were critically injured. An autopsy for Moore is scheduled for Tuesday.

Moore was a mother. A GoFundMe started by family friend Thomas Yohe is raising money to help her family with the costs of honoring her life. “Her passing has left a heartbreaking and devastating impact on her loved ones and close friends,” the page said. “This was not something her family was prepared for, and they are now facing the pain of this sudden loss while also trying to manage funeral or memorial service expenses.”
