NORTH EAST, PENNSYLVANIA — A tractor-trailer ended up on its side off the roadway near mile marker 45 on eastbound Interstate 90 in Erie County just after 7:30 p.m., and two patients were taken to local hospitals for evaluation.

North East Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. Chief 211 arrived along East Main Road and found the tractor-trailer off the road on its side. Rescue 208 evaluated the overturned truck while Rescue Engine 204 checked another vehicle involved on I-90. Crews worked to contain a fuel spill from the truck and make the scene safe.

Chief 211 had command of the incident. Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.

The post did not say when the crash occurred beyond “this evening,” so I have not given a date. Let me know the date and I’ll add it.
