BOW, NEW HAMPSHIRE — A Texas truck driver was arrested Friday after police responded to a report of a tractor-trailer blocking school buses in Bow and found about 170 beer bottles inside the cab.

Bow police said they received a report of a commercial vehicle blocking school buses in the bus parking lot on Robinson Road. Officers located the driver and determined he was driving while intoxicated. He refused to get out of the truck despite commands from officers and was physically removed and taken into custody after a brief struggle.

The driver, Edgar Ramirez, 33, of Odessa, Texas, was charged with driving while intoxicated, subsequent offense, open container of alcohol, and resisting arrest.

Police said they had been looking for the same tractor-trailer several hours earlier, after it was reported leaving a truck stop with an intoxicated driver. Officers were unable to find it at that time.

Ramirez is being held pending arraignment Monday in Concord District Court.
