CENTRAL ISLIP, NEW YORK — Suffolk County Police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who set fire to a tractor-trailer at a Long Island trucking company in the early morning hours of May 24, with surveillance video of the incident now being shared in hopes of generating tips.
The fire broke out at approximately 3:30 a.m. at Consolidated Bulk Carriers Inc. at 43 Windsor Place in Central Islip. Surveillance footage shows an unknown individual approaching a white 2014 International box truck before allegedly igniting it. No injuries were reported.
A cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
