SPRING CREEK, LOUISIANA — Tangipahoa Parish deputies are searching for a suspect who threw an object from a passing vehicle into the windshield of a semi-truck on Louisiana Highway 1054, severely injuring the woman driving the truck and damaging one of her eyes badly enough that she is still receiving medical treatment.
The incident happened on August 16 near Forbes Road in the Spring Creek area. The truck driver was traveling along the highway when her windshield suddenly shattered, sending glass into the cab and severely injuring one of her eyes.
Investigators determined the windshield was struck by an object thrown from a red four-door sedan with chrome rims that was traveling in the opposite direction as it passed the semi. The truck’s dashcam captured the incident and the suspect vehicle.
