MONROE COUNTY, GEORGIA — A dump truck driver was transported to a nearby hospital Friday morning after colliding with a train at a rock quarry on Highway 41 South in Monroe County.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 10:17 a.m. on September 11. A preliminary investigation indicated the dump truck struck the train. No other injuries were reported. The driver’s condition was not released. The incident remains under investigation.
