COTTONWOOD, CALIFORNIA — CHP Cottonwood Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility inspectors placed a trailer out of service after finding a cracked sliding tandem axle group frame that met all five out-of-service criteria — and markings around the crack suggest the trailer’s owner had already identified the problem at some point before it was stopped.
