SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA — CHP Santa Cruz is reminding drivers to secure their loads after an officer recently pulled over a pickup truck and trailer on State Route 1 for an unsecured load — a timely reminder as wet winter weather approaches and yard work season picks up.
“With a very wet winter ahead, many are busy trimming bushes and trees. As you head to the dump, make sure to secure your load,” CHP said. “Flying debris can cause evasive maneuvers and potentially serious crashes. No one wants an unexpected surprise on the road.”
