POTSDAM, NEW YORK — A 66-year-old Potsdam man has been charged with fourth-degree grand larceny after allegedly accessing a local trucking company’s private fueling station on four separate occasions between April and May and pumping $2,124 worth of diesel into his personal vehicle and a fuel tank in his truck bed.
The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Erwin Schober on Sunday, September 27. He was released the same day and is scheduled to appear in Potsdam Town Court at a later date. How Schober gained access to the private fueling station has not been disclosed. The name of the trucking company has not been released.
