ROBERTSON COUNTY, TEXAS — Three people were killed Friday night after a semi-truck hauling livestock veered off a rural Texas road, rolled over, and struck a large tree in Robertson County.
Texas State Troopers said the crash occurred just after 9 p.m. at FM 485 and Zane Wallace Road near the municipal airport. The truck was traveling westbound on FM 485 when it veered onto the grass shoulder, rolled over, and hit the tree. No other vehicles were involved.
The driver, Christopher Burton, 37, of Hempstead, was killed along with two passengers — Gina Jones, 40, of College Station, and a 12-year-old girl. The girl’s identity has not been released.
First responders from Hearne, Calvert, Gause, and Bryan assisted at the scene alongside Robertson County law enforcement and Robertson County EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
