BASTROP COUNTY, TEXAS — Texas Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement troopers from the Austin District uncovered 413 violations across 77 inspections during a three-day task force operation in Bastrop County last week, placing 34 vehicles and 13 drivers out of service.
The operation produced the following results:
• 77 Commercial Vehicles Inspected
• 413 Total Violations Found
• 34 Vehicles Placed Out of Service
• 13 Drivers Placed Out of Service
• Vehicles placed out of service were either repaired on scene or towed for repairs
“Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Troopers work daily to keep Texas roadways safe by ensuring commercial vehicles are properly maintained, safely loaded, and operating in compliance with state and federal regulations. These inspections help reduce crashes, prevent mechanical failures, and protect everyone traveling on Texas roads,” TXDPS said.
