Three Undocumented Immigrants Found Hidden in Tractor-Trailer at Laredo North Checkpoint — U.S. Citizen Truck Driver Faces Human Smuggling Charges

LAREDO, TEXAS — Border Patrol agents stopped a suspected human smuggling attempt at the Laredo North checkpoint after finding three undocumented immigrants hidden inside a tractor-trailer during an inspection.

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents discovered the three individuals concealed in the vehicle. All three were taken into custody without incident. The driver, a U.S. citizen, was arrested and the vehicle was seized. No injuries or property damage were reported.

The driver faces charges under 8 U.S.C. 1324 — Bringing in and Harboring Certain Aliens.
