KAUKAUNA, WISCONSIN — All northbound lanes of Interstate 41 near County Highway JJ in Outagamie County were closed for nearly five hours Friday morning after a semi-truck and trailer crash left the trailer blocking all lanes and caused damage to concrete barriers and the road surface that required repairs before the highway could reopen.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:14 a.m. near Wrightstown Road. Wisconsin State Patrol responded and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation diverted northbound traffic via County Highway J north to County Highway S east and back to I-41. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Crews worked through the morning to clear the scene, repair the concrete barriers, and restore the road surface. All northbound lanes reopened at 12:12 p.m. The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
