DOUGLAS, WYOMING — Wyoming Highway 93 in Douglas was fully shut down starting at 7 a.m. on September 11 after a tractor-trailer hauling an oversized load was forced to stop on the highway the afternoon of September 10, blocking the road and requiring a crane and special equipment to move before it can be cleared.
Wyoming Highway Patrol and WYDOT said no reopening time has been set. All traffic is being redirected to Wyoming Highway 95 in the meantime — WHP initially issued the alternate route as Highway 94 but corrected that to Highway 95. Drivers should avoid the area and plan accordingly.
WHP is working with WYDOT and other responding crews to clear the road as quickly as possible.
“The WHP asks the public to please be patient as crews work to clear the road,” WHP said.
