READING, PENNSYLVANIA — A coordinated commercial vehicle enforcement operation was conducted across the Reading area, with multiple law enforcement agencies targeting unsafe trucks, unqualified drivers, and compliance violations.

The inspection detail was carried out by the City of Reading Police Department alongside several surrounding law enforcement partners as part of an ongoing push to improve roadway safety.

Officials said the operation focused on identifying hazards before they lead to serious crashes, particularly involving commercial vehicles hauling heavy loads over long distances.
