Milk Tanker Driver Airlifted After Losing Control on Florida I-75, Striking Parked Pickup, and Crashing Through Tree Line

WESLEY CHAPEL, FLORIDA — A 59-year-old Temple Terrace man was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries Sunday morning after the milk tanker he was driving northbound on Interstate 75 near Wesley Chapel lost control, struck an unoccupied pickup truck parked on the outside shoulder, and overturned into the wood line crashing through trees and brush and doing serious damage to the cab.

Florida Highway Patrol said the crash occurred around 6:10 a.m. near mile marker 284. The cause of the loss of control has not been released. The roadway went down to one lane while a large law enforcement presence worked to remove the semi and clear the scene.
