KIMBERLY, IDAHO — The Kimberly/Hansen Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a semi-truck driver caught on security camera video knocking down a stop sign, a telecommunications box, and an irrigation culvert while making a tight turn at the intersection of 3600 N and 3400 E southwest of Kimberly on October 5.

Video posted by the department shows the truck’s trailer cutting the corner during the turn, taking down the stop sign before the rig drops off the road and runs over the irrigation culvert tunnel. The cab made the turn without issue but the trailer swung wide. Another truck and a passenger car were also present at the intersection at the time.

The footage is grainy — recorded as a phone video of security camera playback — and police have been unable to identify the driver or owner from it alone. Anyone who recognizes the truck, knows the driver, or has information about where it may have been traveling is asked to contact the Kimberly/Hansen Police Department at 208-423-4153, Ext. 18, and ask for Chief Bunderson.
