CASS COUNTY, MINNESOTA — A Pennsylvania truck driver faces two counts of criminal vehicular homicide after investigators say dashcam footage, multiple eyewitnesses, and the discovery of possible human remains on his truck’s mudflap all point to him intentionally swerving into a motorcyclist who was attempting to pass him on Highway 371 on August 20.
Timothy William Arthur Hall, 33, drove away from the crash and later denied any involvement when confronted by police. Officers located the semi and found traces of possible human fluids or remains on a mudflap. The trucking company then turned over dashcam footage that showed Hall swerving back and forth before making a quick, sharp move toward the cable barrier on the shoulde, the moment the motorcycle crashed.
Multiple witnesses on the road at the time reported the semi appeared to be deliberately swerving onto the shoulder to block the motorcyclist from passing. Court documents state the road was clear of debris or hazards that would have required the movements seen on the dashcam.
Hall is charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide for driving negligently and leaving the scene of a crash. If convicted he could face up to 10 years in prison.
