CORDELIA, CALIFORNIA — CHP Cordelia Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility placed a commercial vehicle out of service after an inspection revealed a ruptured air brake hose — a defect that can cause a loss of air pressure and severely reduced braking capability.

“Air brake systems are critical to the safe operation of commercial vehicles. A damaged or ruptured air hose can result in a loss of air pressure, reduced braking capability, and potentially catastrophic consequences,” CHP said. “Safety starts with proper maintenance. Don’t compromise when it comes to your brakes.”
