LYNN TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA — A GoFundMe has been launched to help the wife and son of tanker truck driver Keith Staines, who was killed Friday afternoon in a head-on crash along Route 309 near Gun Club Road in Lynn Township, Schuylkill County.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office identified Staines as the driver of the tanker truck and pronounced him dead at the scene at 4:10 p.m. The cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma and was ruled an accident. No other fatalities were reported.
The circumstances surrounding the head-on collision with a tractor-trailer remain under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police at Fogelsville, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.
Staines leaves behind his wife Holly and son Zackery. The GoFundMe describes him as a devoted husband and father who treasured every moment with his family.
“Keith was a kind, loving, and hardworking man who meant so much to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His loss has left a tremendous hole in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones,” the fundraiser reads.
