MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE — Police went to an Economy Inn on September 15 to serve an aggravated robbery warrant and stumbled onto something much bigger: 13 people in the back parking lot unloading pallets of stolen chicken worth $250,000 from a semi-truck. All 13 fled. All 13 were caught.
Memphis Police said officers also recovered three firearms, approximately $110,000 worth of additional stolen merchandise, fentanyl, and cocaine during the investigation.
The warrant was for Javunte Johnson, 33, who was among those found unloading the truck. Two of those arrested — Quantrivious Shavers, 25, and Jessie Moore, 37 — were also charged with felon in possession of a handgun. Shavers additionally faces a fentanyl distribution charge and Samuel Jackson, 38, faces a cocaine distribution charge.

- John Shipp, 47 — theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Rico Jackson, 36 — theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Devean Hoyle, 45 — theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Trashawn Featherson, 35 — theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Robert Dishmon, 40 — theft of property $60,000-$250,000
- Marcellous McKinney, 38 — theft of property $60,000-$250,000, evading arrest
- Jessie Moore, 37 — convicted felon in possession of a handgun, evading arrest
- Alexis Pike, 21 — evading arrest, theft of property less than $1,000 (two counts)
