Two Pickup Occupants Killed After Collision With Tractor-Trailer in Hallsville, Texas

HALLSVILLE, TEXAS — Two people were killed Tuesday afternoon after a pickup truck and tractor-trailer collided in Hallsville, according to the Hallsville Police Department.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. near U.S. Highway 80 and FM 450.

Two People Trapped in Pickup

Responding officers found two people trapped inside the pickup truck after the collision.

One occupant died at the scene.

The second occupant was taken by paramedics to a Tyler hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

Several Agencies Assisted

Hallsville police described the crash as “complex and tragic.”

Several agencies assisted at the scene, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, Hallsville Fire Department, Harrison County Constable Precinct 3, the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Department of Transportation.

Investigation Continues

The identities of the two victims have not been released, pending notification of family members and completion of the investigation.

No additional details about the tractor-trailer driver, possible injuries, or what led to the crash were immediately released.
