DEFIANCE COUNTY, OHIO — Drivers in Defiance County and surrounding areas should expect intermittent delays over the coming months as oversized wind turbine components begin moving through the region on a recurring basis, escorted by Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The current route takes the loads east on US-24 to Domersville, then south to SR-281 and east into Henry County. State troopers are actively managing traffic along the route, blocking intersections when necessary and assisting the loads through tight turns.
The Defiance County Sheriff’s Office warned that there is no set schedule for the moves, meaning delays could occur suddenly at any time during the daily commute.
