CHOWCHILLA, CALIFORNIA — More than 400 lunches were handed out to truck drivers during a Truck Driver Appreciation Day event at the CHP Chowchilla River Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility.
The event was held to recognize the men and women behind the wheel who help keep freight moving across California and beyond.
Scale House Hosts Appreciation Event
CHP Chowchilla River Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility said staff had the opportunity to thank truck drivers for the work they do every day on the road.
“Today, we had the pleasure of showing our appreciation to the hardworking truck drivers who keep us moving,” the facility said.
Officials said more than 400 lunches were handed out as a small thank-you to drivers.
Community Partners Helped With Event
CHP thanked Clovis Elks Lodge and the California Trucking Association’s Central Valley and San Joaquin Units for helping make the event possible.
The facility said the event brought the community together to recognize the role truckers play in keeping goods moving.
“We truly enjoyed coming together with our community to recognize and thank the men and women behind the wheel,” CHP said.
“Thank you, truckers, for all that you do,” the facility added.
