SUMNER COUNTY, TENNESSEE — A tractor-trailer hauling 40,000 pounds of chicken crashed and caught fire on northbound Interstate 65 near mile marker 100 in Goodlettsville early Wednesday morning, closing the highway and threatening to impact morning rush hour traffic.

Tennessee Department of Transportation reported that all crashed materials have been moved into a dumpster but still needed to be cleared from the road. One lane was open while crews worked the scene. The interstate was not expected to be fully cleared until noon Wednesday.
