GRAVES COUNTY, KENTUCKY — A 98-year-old Graves County man was killed Tuesday afternoon after pulling his pickup truck into the path of a semi-truck hauling grain at the intersection of Kentucky Highway 80 and Kentucky Highway 303.

Douglas H. Webb was driving a 2016 GMC Canyon and made a left turn from KY-80 to access KY-303 when he pulled in front of an eastbound 2006 International semi pulling a grain trailer, driven by 50-year-old Jason P. Fulcher of Graves County. The semi struck the Canyon.

Several bystanders had stopped and were rendering aid to Webb before first responders arrived. Life-saving measures were administered at the scene. Webb was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Fulcher was transported to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office offered condolences to the families of both men. The roadway was closed for approximately an hour and a half during cleanup. The crash remains under investigation.

Assisting agencies included Mayfield Police, Graves County Fire and Rescue, Mayfield Fire Department, and Glens and Burls Wrecker Service and Towing.
