CADDO PARISH, LOUISIANA — All northbound lanes of Interstate 49 near Highway 530 are closed following a crash involving an 18-wheeler that is completely blocking the roadway, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies assigned to the night shift responded to the crash. Emergency responders remain on scene as cleanup efforts continue. Northbound traffic is being diverted off I-49 at LA 530 (Exit 228). Motorists can use the exit and immediately re-enter the interstate using the entrance ramp to continue northbound travel.
Cleanup operations are expected to continue until at least 8:00 a.m., though delays may extend beyond that time depending on conditions at the scene. Motorists are urged to use caution, follow all posted detours, and consider alternate routes if possible.
