CORDELIA, CALIFORNIA — A California Highway Patrol inspector at the Cordelia Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility discovered a brake chamber not securely mounted to its bracket during a recent inspection. The defect rendered the brake inoperative.
CHP used the find to remind carriers and drivers that defects like this can severely reduce a vehicle’s braking ability and increase the risk of a crash. Regular inspections and proper maintenance are critical to keeping everyone on the road safe.
